Today I built a nest out of shells and I used walnuts for bird eggs.

Birds Nests...

We have found lots of bird nests in our playground, one made mostly from dirt, another made from moss and another two from wheat and long grass. The different types of nets were found in different spots so we think the birds used what was close to them. We had a nest day and made nests from lego, watched you-tube videos to see how nests are made, looked at books, painted and drew pictures and thought about what other creatures make nests. A Very Windy Day...

Today Jordan found a bird's nest that had been blown out of the tree. The children thought it was really interesting to see a hatched egg. We made our Treaty of Kowhai and listed consequences that could be used if we are not being Winch-Wise, keep a look out for these in our KOWHAI Book. Hope you don't get too blown away!

First Day Back at School
